    The Blood Disorders Center at Dana-Farber/Boston Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center provides comprehensive diagnostic, treatment and preventive services for a wide range of non-malignant blood disorders and diseases. Patients receive care from some of the world’s most experienced hematologists with deep experience in the conditions they treat. 

    With locations in Boston, LexingtonPeabodyWaltham and Weymouth, MA; Dana-Farber/Boston Children's provides patients access to some of the most advanced diagnostics and treatments available, including:

    • Bone marrow testing, a wide array of blood analysis, fetal blood sampling and comprehensive hematopathology and radiology services for accurately diagnosing conditions.
    • A wide array of treatment options, including blood transfusions, iron chelation and stem cell transplant.
    • A multidisciplinary approach to treating bleeding disorders, hemogloinopathies and bone marrow failure disorders.
    • Access to new treatment approaches through ongoing clinical trials.

    Our Treatment Teams

    For each of our patients, we assemble a team of doctors and subspecialists that allow us to consider all options for treatment and develop the most appropriate treatment plan. A typical patient-care team will include:

    • Pediatric hematologist/oncologists
    • Pediatric hematopathologists
    • Pediatric hematology nurse practitioners
    • Designated hematology patient coordinators

    Our team also draws on the expertise and knowledge of a variety of subspecialists and support staff, including specialists in genetics and pediatric stem cell transplant. Meet our team of hematologists and blood disorder specialists.
