Become a Patient

DF/BC new patient coordinators

Our new patient coordinators are available to make the process of becoming a patient as easy as possible. They also can put you in touch with resource specialists who help with practical concerns, such as finances and housing.

When immediate care is required, we can typically accommodate new patients within 24 hours. If the child’s condition is life threatening and requires emergency care, dial 911 or go to your nearest emergency room.

Request an Appointment

To schedule an appointment without a referral from your doctor, the first step is to have a conversation with one of our new patient coordinators. Contact a new patient coordinator directly by phone or through our online form.

Get a Second Opinion

Our specialists can provide second opinions to help confirm or establish a diagnosis for a cancer or blood disorder. With expertise in pathology and diagnostic imaging, we are routinely called upon to provide analysis and recommendations for care. We can provide second opinions in person or remotely through our Online Second Opinion Program. To request an in-person second opinion, contact a new patient coordinator directly by phone or through our online form.

Participate in Clinical Trials

We offer enrollment in several independent as well as cooperative clinical trials — many of which are available only at our center. Learn about participating in clinical trials, search for current clinical trials, or email us at clinicaltrials@danafarberbostonchildrens.org to connect with staff from our Clinical Research Program.
