    The Hematologic Malignancy Center at Dana-Farber/Boston Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Center features four world-class treatment programs offering patients deep expertise and advanced therapies for specific conditions. Each program features an authority in his/her area of expertise as well as teams of subspecialists and nurses with training and years of proven experience.

    Histiocytosis Treatment Program

    The Histiocytosis Treatment Program features specialists and subspecialists who provide expert treatment for newly diagnosed or recurrent histiocytosis, which is a cancer-like condition and may involve treatment with chemotherapy. Our doctors provide unparalleled expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of the major types of of this condition.

    Leukemia Treatment Program

    Our Leukemia Treatment Program has played a leading role in refining treatment for childhood leukemia, resulting in today’s cure rates of more than 90 percent for ALL, and we continue to lead clinical trials designed to increase cure rates, decrease treatment-related side effects, and improve care for long-term survivors.

    Lymphoma Treatment Program

    Our Lymphoma Treatment Program has the expertise to diagnose and treat a wide range of newly diagnosed and relapsed lymphomas. More than 95 percent of children treated for Hodgkin lymphoma and more than 80 percent treated for non-Hodgkin lymphoma are cured.

    Node Assessment Program

    Our Node Assessment Program, the first of its kind in New England, accepts referrals, second opinions, and consultations from physicians and families for children who require further evaluation to establish the cause, severity, and treatment of a child’s lymphadenopathy.
