While the cancer Moonshot aims to double the rate of progress toward improving cure rates, the Huffington Post quotes Chief Medical Officer Lisa Diller, MD, in a piece that asks if enough attention is being paid to survivors, particularly survivors of pediatric cancer. Lisa Diller, who directs Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s survivorship clinic, notes the difficult issue of balancing the goal of protecting survivors against late effects with the chance that a child might relapse if not given the strongest possible treatment.
