Medical Education to Fight Global Cancer

A group of
physicians from Egypt joined colleagues from Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center for a medical education course to help
them prepare for their roles as trainers in a new fellowship program in
pediatric oncology launching in May in Cairo, reports Compass, a Harvard Medical School blog. The
fellowship is the latest in a series of cooperative ventures linking Children’s
Cancer Hospital Egypt 57357 with Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s. The collaborative
effort has already led to substantially increased survival rates since 57357
opened in July 2007.
