David Williams, MD, awarded the American Society of Hematology Henry M. Stratton Medal

David Williams, MD, President of Dana-Farber/Boston Children's Cancer and Blood Disorder Center, has been awarded the Henry M. Stratton Medal for clinical science by the American Society of Hematology, one of the highest distinctions for excellence in the hematology field.
Named after the late Henry Maurice Stratton, who made significant contributions to the Society and founded the medical publishing house of Grune and Stratton with Mr. L.H. Grunebaum, the Henry M. Stratton Medal honors an individual who has made outstanding contributions to hematology.
The clinical science medal recognizes outstanding research contributions in hematology directly relevant to diagnosis, treatment or prevention of disease or disease pathogenesis.
